Expelled to reinstated: Pearson returns to Tennessee House

Tennessee Democratic Rep. Justin Pearson was reinstated to his position by Shelby County commissioners on April 12, following his expulsion from the House for protesting gun control policies. Pearson and Rep. Justin Jones, both Black Democrats, were expelled for their role in the gun control protest, while white Rep. Gloria Johnson survived by one vote.
