Nebraska lawmakers taking up debate on abortion restrictions

Nebraska lawmakers may ban abortions after six weeks of pregnancy as a bill proposing such a ban faces debate in the Republican-controlled state. Efforts of the bill, which includes exceptions for cases of rape, incest or to save the life of the mother, are in question as Republican co-signer of the bill has introduced an amendment to adjust the proposal to banning abortion at 12 weeks.
