The first Republican presidential debate has resulted in fundraising boosts for some candidates. Biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy has raised $450,000 since the debate, with an average donation of $38. Ramaswamy, who criticized rivals during the debate, has largely been self-funding his campaign and raised over $7.7 million in the second quarter. Other candidates, such as South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, have also made fundraising appeals. Some candidates have used creative methods, like giving away "Biden Relief Cards," to meet the Republican National Committee's donor requirements.
